Lost

Lush thickness,
An evergreen labyrinth.
Monsters lurk,
Spawns from distant slumbers.

Unconscious, fallen angel.
Strangeness blankets,
Giving chills.
Screams escape.

I awaken,
Silence’s shattering.
Unfaltering,
Rushes to agony’s origin.

You’re here at last, yet distraught.
Hands I offer, unresponsive.
Alas, though I’ve found you,
You never found yourself.
